The FBMA PasSPORT is an initiative derived out of the community engagement and education missions of the Academy. It is a 1-week program allowing schoolgirls to experience a number of individual and team sports in a fun and active environment.
With the objective of getting the girls of the capital to try out as many different sports as possible, FBMA partners with the Abu Dhabi Education Council to host the PaSPORT initiative for the second year, whereby school visits to Al Forsan International Sports Resort will allow Emirati girls between the ages of 10-12 years to immerse in the world of sport by trying their skills in basketball, football, volleyball, running, golf, archery, and table tennis.
Upon arrival, girls will be given PasSRORTs which will enable their journey into the world of sports. As they travel from one sport to the next, they will collect stamps symbolizing the progress of their journey, which will culminate in a fully stamped PasSPORT and lots of fun.
The program will run between Wednesday 1st and Wednesday 8th of March, 2017.
Highlighting FBMA’s education mandate, girls will also have the chance to attend a nutrition seminar held by FBMA’s Education Partner HAAD (Heath Authority – Abu Dhabi) and delivered by Daman under the title “Heathy Eating: Your Companion in Being An Athlete” @#PASSPORT. The seminar will take place on 7 March, 9-11am also at Al Forsan International Sports Resort.
