The 3rd FBMA Summer Camp Concludes its Sports and Cultural Programs

The 3rd FBMA Summer Camp concluded its session at the Abu Dhabi Ladies Club, after a month of activities and programs that witnessed remarkable interactions with the parents and the participating campers with the presence of our National Team coach “Houriya AlTaheri”, our National Basketball Team player, the talented "Asma Majed", the star of our National Hockey Team "Latifa Al Suwaidi", and the fencing champion "Noora Al Breiki".

The camp also provided a distinctive atmosphere for the participants by engaging them in various sports competitions which created a state of passion in them and challenged their performance.  This earned the camp an unbridled enthusiasm and a commendable success.

The camp also included educational and awareness workshops some of which focused on Child Injuries Prevention provided by the Emergency and Public Safety Department - Abu Dhabi Police. There was also a workshop on the importance of prayer and its significance, as well as the responsible use of leisure time, under the supervision of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Awqaf. The Supreme Council for Motherhood & Childhood also organized workshops such as designing bags and drawing on cups. To raise awareness through physical activity and healthy food in a new, innovative and enjoyable way, the Department of Health introduced the "Youth Health Experience" which helped motivate girls to do physical activities and follow a healthy diet.  The summer camp received a wide range of acclaim from various parties, which supported its emergence in this distinctive image, including the great experience enjoyed by the supervisors of the events, in addition to the response of the participants and their keenness to implement the instructions. In this regard, the camp administrators would like to thank the volunteers, who were excellent partners and were always present with a high spirit and had a great responsibility on them. In the spirit of one family these events will continue to succeed and cultivate creativity.

It is worth mentioning that this year's camp witnessed the participation of around 350 girls from different ages. The contribution of the sponsors and voluntary organizations has been greatly appreciated. They had a great role and have proved to be partners in success and excellence in each initiative launched by the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, which reflected their interest and keenness to meet the invitation and become a part of the success of this summer camp. Her Excellency, Amal Al-Afifi, a board member of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, said: “Today we witnessed the conclusion of the third FBMA summer camp at the Abu Dhabi Ladies Club. There was a strategic plan developed by the academy under the guidance of Sheikha Fatima Bint Hazza Al Nahyan to highlight the girls’ talents from a young age to interest young girls from the age of 5 to 15 years into sports and activities. These were the basis on which we build our future plans, and our camp was not limited to sports activities, but we touched on cultural, health, educational and artistic workshops also”.
