Walk them. Jog them. Hit the Stairs However you choose to move, join our huge active community and strive with confidence towards the 10 million steps.
Coinciding with Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy’s 10-year anniversary the academy aims to spread physical activity and fitness among the community by initiating the 10 million step challenge. Participants of the challenge are encouraged to be more active on daily basis and to make fitness part of their lifestyle. One step after another, the main goal is to reach 10 million steps within 10 days only. Together #WeCanDoIt

Registration details:
- Free to register
- Everyone including males, females and children are welcome to join.
- The challenge kicks off on October 1st and ends on the 10th of October 2020.
Register here and take a step in the challenge. Using a pedometer or step tracker, document your steps daily by taking photos/ screenshots and uploading them.
If you are a smartphone user there are many very good pedometers apps that are free to use.
Details about the challenge and about the 10,000 steps:
Feel more energetic and awake, take part in this challenge wherever you are located. The challenge can be done either at home, in the gym, walks in the park and even taking a round in the mall. Reaching 10 million steps is the main goal and together #WeCanDoIt. You can share your steps with us no matter how many steps you take. However, if you can reach 10 thousand steps for 10 days in a row you will automatically enter a draw and get the chance to win exclusive prizes.
How to Participate
- Create an inphota account and register for the event
Then either
2a. Connect either your Garmin, Strava or Fitbit account to your inphota profile
2b. If you do not have a supported account, you can upload your results manually
- Begin walking or running!
How to upload your steps
Garmin connection and Fitbit connection (Recommended): Once you've registered and connected your chosen device your steps will be automatically be synced each day. Please allow end of day for your steps to be synced.
Any other device/manual submission: If you choose to upload your results manually, there is a manual submission tab labelled 'submit activity' found in your profile. This is visible once registered for the event. Please submit your results along with image proof showing the number of steps completed. You must upload your own activity, any request for the inphota team to upload an activity will not be possible. Please note that manual submissions must be uploaded by 11:59 on the 30th October. Please include number of steps.
Strava connection, with connected device: Please note that Strava only shares steps completed during an activity, to sync steps record your walk/run as you usually would. Once saved, your workout will be automatically synced and the number of steps will be added to the leader board. Please ensure your Strava activity visibility is set to "everyone" (your profile can still remain private). Any other visibility will not be counted towards the leader board.
Strava connection, recorded through application only: Please upload your steps manually. The Strava application does not record steps. Please use the formula 1km = 1,500 steps.
You must upload your own activity, any request for the inphota team to upload an activity will not be possible. Manual submissions will close 1 hour after the event.
