FBMAis pleased to launch aPE Teachers Guide to Grassroots Football workshop for women.

 

                                                          

workshop brief:

This workshop seeks to familiarize the physical education teachers with the basic skills of football game. This course provides a thorough overview of the rules and regulations of football, while it teaches aspiring umpires where to stand on the field and how these key locations improve their ability to supervise the game. Furthermore, the course will advance participants’ skills in football terminology, effective communication skills and drafting game reports.

By participating in the course, participants will get a Certification signed by UAE Football Association.

 

 

Speaker’s Bio:

Ms. Houriya Taheri

 

Houriya is the first GCC female with an international license to train football. Currently she serves as an assistant for theUAE women’s national football team, and is a speaker at the UAE Football Association. In performing these roles, Houriya is making a great impact on the development of junior female Emirati athletes, and aspires to be able to raise the next generation of Emirati coaches.

 

Houriya’s love for football started from a young age when she used to play the sport with her brothers, and after playing for 10 years in Abu Dhabi Country Club and the UAE national team, she decided to step into the field of training with full force. When she’s off the field, she still remains active in the sports sector through her position in Abu Dhabi Sports Council’s technical department, and has recently launched her own football academy called "Legends”.
