Launching the First Edition of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy Open Padel Tournament 2023- Ladies

Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy announces the establishment of its first Padel tournament under its umbrella, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, over three consecutive days, starting from Thursday, October 12th, until Saturday, October 14th, 2023, at the Padel Plus Academy in the Musaffah area in Abu Dhabi. The competition is expected to witness broad participation from women in various categories and skill levels. This tournament is part of the academy's efforts to empower women in the field of sports, encourage them to enhance physical fitness and motor skills. Padel tennis, in particular, is known to improve balance, muscular strength, and flexibility.
The Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy Open Padel Tournament 2023- Ladies stands out for its diversity and includes three main categories for participants. Category "A" is dedicated to professionals and advanced players in Padel Tennis, while Category "B" is for intermediate players with moderate experience in this sport. Lastly, Category "C" is for beginners who wish to explore a new challenge in the world of Padel Tennis. The organizing committee notes that the "Category C" matches will kick off on the first day of the event, providing beginners with the opportunity to shine and develop their skills in a competitive, supportive, and completely private environment where photography and documentation are prohibited. Media coverage and live broadcasting will continue for Categories A and B. It is also announced that substantial cash prizes, up to 40,000 UAE Dirhams, will be awarded to the winners in various categories, enhancing competition and encouraging participants to deliver outstanding performances.
In this regard, Ms. Mariam Al Mansoori, representing the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, expressed her delight in hosting the first Padel Tennis tournament exclusively for women in the UAE, stating: "We are very pleased to host the first Padel Tennis tournament exclusively for women in the UAE. This is an important step that we take to support women's participation in sports and encourage them to discover their talents and develop their skills. Registration is open on our official website fbma.ae with a registration fee of 150 Dirhams per player."
She added: "We are grateful for the support of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak (The Mother of the Nation), Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF).
