Launch of the “Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy Volleyball Cup For Ladies 2025” in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi, September 11, 2025: Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation "Mother of the Nation," and under the directives of Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, and Chairwoman of Abu Dhabi Ladies Club and Al Ain Ladies Club, the 2024 Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy Volleyball Cup for Ladies kicked off last night.
The tournament began with an opening ceremony held at the headquarters of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy in Abu Dhabi, which featured several sporting and entertainment segments. After the ceremony, the first match started at 5:00 PM, where the 6th of October Club team defeated the Salwa Al-Sabah team with a score of 27/25. The second match followed, with Al-Ula Sports Club winning against the Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy Volleyball Team with a score of 25/15. The first day of the tournament witnessed strong and promising competitions, creating an enthusiastic atmosphere for the spectators
The tournament, which will run for five days, will conclude on September 15 with the final match and official awarding ceremony. The participating teams will first compete in the preliminary and semi-final rounds, creating a competitive atmosphere full of excitement and enthusiasm.
Teams from several Arab countries are taking part in the tournament, including Salwa Al-Sabah from Kuwait, 6th of October Club from Egypt, Wadi Finan from Jordan, Al-Ula Sports Club from Saudi Arabia, Akad Ankawa from Iraq, and the Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy Volleyball Team from the UAE. This diverse participation highlights the Arab character of the tournament and promotes exchange and cooperation in a framework that supports the development of women’s sports and raises performance levels.
In this context, H.E.
