Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy kicks off 2025 with a series of groundbreaking sports events

The Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy (FBMA) kicked off 2025 with an exceptional lineup of sporting events and wellness initiatives, reinforcing its role as a driving force in women’s sports development in the UAE.

Under the esteemed patronage Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, the "Mother of the Nation", and with the guidance of Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, and Chairwoman of both the Abu Dhabi Ladies Club and the Al Ain Ladies Club, FBMA continues to elevate women’s sports, inspire future generations, and create platforms for athletic excellence. With a strong start to the year, the academy is not only fostering elite competition but also strengthening community bonds, bringing athletes, coaches, and supporters hand in hand to advance women's sports.

FBMA started the year by hosting the prestigious 12th edition of the FBMA International Show Jumping Cup, highlighting its commitment to equestrian excellence, showcasing exceptional talent, and fostering local participation. Meanwhile, the academy’s Basketball Youth Team took to the court in a thrilling display of teamwork and dedication, further strengthening FBMA’s commitment to nurturing young talent. In a highly anticipated friendly encounter, FBMA’s volleyball players also welcomed Saudi Arabia’s Al Nasr Team, fostering cross-border sports collaboration and strengthening ties within the regional sports community.

Beyond competitive matches, FBMA’s focus on empowering women through sports was reflected in its impactful workshops. The "Activate Your Body and Mind" session encouraged participants to integrate mental resilience with physical strength, while the "Wellness and Balance" workshop provided valuable insights into achieving a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle. A netball workshop further expanded opportunities for women to engage in diverse sporting disciplines, reinforcing FBMA’s mission to promote accessibility and inclusivity in sports.

For over a decade, FBMA has been at the forefront of advancing women’s sports in the UAE, not only by developing world-class athletes but also by fostering an inclusive culture where women of all backgrounds feel empowered to participate. Through structured programs, professional training, and international collaborations, the academy continues to break barriers and create opportunities for female athletes to excel both locally and globally. This commitment was reflected in January’s activities, which underscored FBMA’s dedication to expanding women’s participation in sports while promoting a culture of health and wellness across the UAE. With a strong foundation in place, the academy looks forward to building on this momentum, introducing even more initiatives in the coming months to further support and elevate female athletes.
