1st Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy Badminton Tournament

Abu Dhabi, October 16, 2024: The Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy is organizing the first edition of the Badminton Championship in cooperation with the UAE Badminton Federation and the Abu Dhabi Racquet Sports Club on October 19 at the Academy’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

The championship is held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of Nation”, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and under the directives of Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, Chairwoman of the Abu Dhabi Ladies Club and Al Ain Ladies Club.
The championship is an important platform to highlight Emirati talents in badminton under the age of 9, 11, 13 and 15.

Noura Al Jasmi, Chairperson of the UAE Badminton Federation, stressed that the championship comes within the framework of cooperation between the Academy and the Federation, and in accordance with the joint commitment to develop the game in the country, discover new talents, and work to develop it to reach global competitive levels.
