Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy Celebrates International Women's Day with Partners
Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Cycling Club and the Al Mubaraka Foundation, celebrated International Women's Day on March 8th, with government representatives and official agencies from Abu Dhabi in attendance.
The event included dialogue sessions with successful Emirati and international women in their fields. They shared their inspiring and successful careers in serving the country and society in a fun, family-friendly, and societal manner. These stories served as sources of inspiration and motivation. The event reflected the wise leadership's commitment in the United Arab Emirates to give women the status they deserve in serving their country in various dimensions and diverse industries.
The occasion was part of a series of initiatives designed to empower women. FBMA plans to organize further events to emphasize the crucial role of women in building society and empowering the next generation of women. The experience was met with an enthusiastic response, with participants recognizing and appreciating the efforts of women as a fundamental pillar of society. The event also highlighted the vital role of women in empowering young Emirati women to realize their potential and contribute to their country's ongoing success. Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy emphasizes on the academy's efforts, based on the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation "Mother of the Nation," have encouraged women to adopt various activities as a sustainable lifestyle for maintaining their physical and mental well-being, and honing their skills."
These activities have a positive impact on women's daily lives, helping them to take care of themselves and contributing to the community's overall well-being.
“The Academy places great importance on organizing community events that align with its strategy of promoting productive activities, as they foster a sense of closeness among participants and strengthen the spirit of sports cooperation that it aims to achieve. Such events also promote social cohesion and cultivate a culture of happiness and positivity.”
During the session, Moza Al Hanaei, board member of Al Mubarakah Foundation, emphasized the importance of the occasion in highlighting the national achievements of Emirati women. Speaking on behalf of the foundation, she noted that their journey had been generously sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the State, may God protect him. Al Hanaei highlighted the significant strides that Emirati women have made in their national journey, which have led to their ranking at the top of international events. This progress is attributed to the support and empowerment provided to them by the wise leadership, making this journey a pioneering model at the local, regional, and international levels.

These achievements were made within a comprehensive legislative and societal framework that guarantees Emirati women's rights and enables them to efficiently and effectively fulfill their roles. Emirati women have received continuous and qualitative support from Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak and this support has pushed women to the forefront of the national scene in various fields such as education, work, production, and building stable families. Emirati women have excelled in these fields, making notable contributions that have strengthened their position and leadership as equal partners with their male counterparts in the development of the nation."
The organizers from the Abu Dhabi Cycling Club hosted the discussion panel on International Women's Day in cooperation with the Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy and the Mubarak Foundation.
